It’s that time of year when the Jet steam becomes a little lazy and starts meandering up and down rather than in a straight line which is known as a “Zonal” jet stream but the wobbly jet stream is known as Meridinal and that will be affecting a large area of Western Europe in the days ahead. March has already provided the Uk with a variety of weather from Spring warmth to snow, rain , Saharan dust and gales ! Spring can be a very two faced , volatile month, but from next week , a trend to much drier, settled weather , with night frosts looks likely for just about all of the Uk , and as the winds switch around to the north and east the potential for colder conditions to end the month with snow, but how cold for now is uncertain!

If you’re fed up with the dreary weather of late a change is on the way! An undulating jet stream will be the setup across the Uk in the days ahead , with periods of wet milder weather at times , but with some colder ,quieter conditions moving into next week with some sparkling sunshine and some frost as we go into next week as well. Gone will be the relentless rain , and that includes southern Europe as well…..
